State Availability

Sweepstakes promotions sit outside gambling licensing, so where you can play is decided operator by operator rather than by one national rule.

The Shape Of It

Not legal advice

Most of the country is open to the operators on our board. The exclusions that exist are narrow, but they are real, and they are not uniform: two operators in the same state can take opposite views.

Almost always excluded

Washington and Idaho. Their promotional statutes are strict enough that operators in this market generally do not accept players from either.

Sometimes excluded

Michigan, Nevada, Montana and Connecticut appear on some exclusion lists and not others, usually as a compliance decision rather than a legal requirement.

Age

Eighteen at most operators, twenty-one at some, and twenty-one in specific states at others. It is verified against documents, so entering a different date at signup only delays a payout.

The reliable checkOpen the signup form and enter your real state. If the operator does not serve it, the form says so immediately, before you have given anything else away.

Location, not address

Operators check where you actually are. A VPN or an out-of-state mailing address breaches the terms, and the moment it usually surfaces is at redemption, after the balance has been built.

Two Short Lists

Before you register

Keeps a payout clean

  • Real name, real address, real state
  • Verification finished before you play
  • One account per operator
  • Reading the operator exclusion list first

Voids a payout

  • Playing through a VPN or proxy
  • Registering from an address you do not live at
  • A second account for a second welcome offer
  • Sharing an account with someone else
